British volunteer teacher Kath McGuire visited Horizon Lanka Foundation on the request of its founder, Mr. Nanda Wanninayaka on September 18, 2014. She came along with two of her colleagues, Dr. Johnson Jament and his wife Mrs. Lisba Yesudas from Poonthura, Trivandrum district, Kerala, India. Dr. Jament is the founder of VESS (Venad Education and Social Services), an organization committed to education and social services.

The visitors first visited Siddhartha Public School with Mahesh Dharmasena, a teacher of the school. They spent few hours with the students there.

After that they were taken to Horizon Lanka. After the lunch, the visitors spent time with the students at Horizon Lanka. Students were very happy to talk to the visitors.

Kath promised to send new British volunteers to Horizon Lanka in the future. She also will volunteer here in the future. This will benefit Horizon Lanka students immensely. Even in the past, foreign volunteers have contributed a lot to Horizon Lanka.

Kath has volunteered in Sri Lanka several times in the past.
