A LIMITED OVERS CRICKET SERIES AT HORIZON LANKA ACADEMY
A limited overs cricket series was held at Horizon Lanka Academy on October 7, 2006. The match was against a combined team from Moneragala and Ampara. Lak Aruna of Moneragala and Prabhavi of Ampara consisted the visiting team. Horizon Lanka played 3 teams. The visitors won a match against one of the Horizon Lanka teams but the final wasn't played due to bad light. The final will be played in Ampara soon. The main purpose of the match was to train senior students as English language commentators. Nuwan, Ranuka, Ruwan and Isuru emerged as new commentators while Majith stood out as the best. Mr Ranjith was the coach of the commentators. Next time girls also will do the commentaries. They joined as score board markers during this series. (Updated: October 17, 2006)
